PODCAST

This project, showcasing our ability to create learning through an auditory technology, was required to be no more than 2:15 minutes long, contain intro and outro music, and be focused on educational technology research or practice.

Using Adobe's Audition software I found the design and script writing process to be fun and a unique way to share research in a new way. As we were required to pick something related to current educational technology research, I decided to find research related to career opportunities in the field. 

​

Reflecting on the AECT standards, I was struck how often auditory learning is skipped over as an mode of instruction, and this project allowed for demonstration of this learning environment.

This project meets the following AECT Standards and highlights the following indicators of those standards:

  • AECT Standard 1 - Content Knowledge: Candidates demonstrate the knowledge necessary to create, use, assess, and manage theoretical and practical applications of educational technologies and processes.​

    • Creating​, Using, Assessing/Evaluating, and Managing

  • AECT Standard 2 - Content Pedagogy: Candidates develop as reflective practitioners able to demonstrate effective implementation of educational technologies and processes based on contemporary content and pedagogy.

  • AECT Standard 3 - Learning Environments: Candidates facilitate learning by creating, using, evaluating, and managing effective learning environments.
